Hello Southbridge Rehab Families, Residents and Friends,

I hope you are all enjoying a few warmer days and a bit more sunshine!

We have continued two times per week COVID testing of all staff and residents and we are now 10 days without a positive staff test and facility acquired resident positive.   Two residents tested positive here after hospitalization. They are now recovering in our COVID recovery unit. Following DPH guidance for testing and the counsel of our epidemiologist we will continue with weekly testing of all staff and residents.  Once we have reached 14 days without a positive staff or resident case and if county positivity rates remain at their current levels, we will be able to consider resuming visitation. There will be more information on this next week.

On February 19^th we had our 3^rd vaccine clinic with our partners at CVS Pharmacy. To date, 57% of staff and 67% of residents have completed the vaccine series. We are coordinating with the Rapid Response Team of DPH to provide the 2^nd vaccine for any residents who need to receive it and all new admissions.

In other news, Oscar Ramos has accepted the position as Director of Maintenance, having served as a Maintenance assistant here at Southbridge for 13 years. Lorie Kelley, Director of Social Services has accepted a position as Regional Director of Social Services for Athena Health Care Systems, our owner/operator.  Anne Faille has accepted the position of Director of Social Services effective March 1. She has been a social worker here for the past 15 years.   Please join me in congratulating them on their new positions!
