Dear Residents, Families and Friends:

COVID update:

As you are aware, 8 days ago we had a staff member test positive for COVID on a routine Binex (rapid) test performed before the shift began. Since that time, we have performed 536 PCR tests and 220 Binex tests on all staff and residents. I am pleased to let you know that as of this writing all additional tests have been negative. Testing of all staff and residents will continue Thursday and Friday of this week and Monday and Tuesday of next week to complete the outbreak protocol as outlined by our Epidemiologist at DPH. After the completion of those tests, we will know more regarding resuming indoor visitation and congregate dining in the main dining room.  Despite the challenges, our recreation department have been helping us all beat the heat with some cool summer activities.

WE are grateful for all of your cooperation and patience as we exercise every precaution to keep you and your family safe while here at Southbridge Rehab.

Other Happenings:

Please join me in welcoming Ron Rivers, Director of Dining Services who has stepped into the role previously held by Chris McTigue who retired after 45 years of service. Ron is an experienced Dining Director with a passion for providing good food and service to residents.

We have also welcomed Brian Gonzales as our new smoking attendant. He is pleased to be part of the Southbridge Team and interested in advancing opportunities to CNA training.
