Southbridge Town Council Recognizes Southbridge Rehab During Nursing Home Week
SOUTHBRIDGE, MA – Staff and residents at Southbridge Rehabilitation & Health Care Center celebrated National Skilled Nursing Care Week with an honorable mention and proclamation from the Southbridge Town Council. National Skilled Nursing Care Week ran from May 12 – May 18, 2024.
This honorable week pays tribute to the dedication and commitment of all healthcare workers across the skilled nursing industry and celebrates the residents who reside in the centers. This recognition was part of the center’s week-long celebrations honoring the staff and residents. Each day during the week celebrated a different decade paying homage to The War of the Worlds radio broadcast in 1938 to then celebrating the 1980’s with staff and resident karaoke. National Skilled Nursing Care Week’s theme for 2024 was Radiant Memories, Celebrating the Golden Age of Radio.
Michael Marketti, Vice Chairman on the Southbridge Town Council, proclaimed on Thursday, May 16, 2024, that Nursing Home Week serves as a testament to the essential role that skilled nursing centers play in the communities and thanked the staff for their tireless dedication providing quality care for the residents who live at Southbridge Rehab. Marketti presented the proclamation to Resident Council President Del B.
