Olusola P. Ekundayo Receives AANAC Certification
Congratulations to Olusola (Sola) P. Ekundayo BSN, RN, RAC-CT, who has been certified as a Resident Assessment Coordinator. The RAC-CT certification is a nationally recognized gold-standard in resident assessment in the long-term care nursing profession. By earning it, individuals have shown their expertise in skilled nursing facility prospective payment system and minimum data set (MDS 3.0) assessment.
Olusola earned his Resident Assessment Coordinator Certificate (RAC-CT) from the nationally accredited American Association of Nursing Assessment Coordinators (AANAC), which is affiliated with the American Association of Post-Acute Care Nursing (AAPACN).
This certification will help increase quality care for our residents, manage scarce healthcare resources, and increase reimbursement. Other immense benefits include, and are not limited to, survey preparedness, readiness and success, 5-star quality rating, Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI), and support for the organization on matters regarding the new CMS payment system, PDPM.
Overall, Sola is excited to have added a national value to the Clinical Reimbursement Department at Southbridge Rehabilitation and Health Care Center and to Athena Health Care Systems.
